Biodiversity

Towards a science-based approach

Biodiversity is a natural capital essential to the functioning of our economies. It provides the resources, ecosystem services, and stability on which businesses directly depend: raw materials, pollination, climate regulation, and the quality of soils and water. Yet biodiversity loss is accelerating due to human activities, weakening value chains and exposing organizations to risks of scarcity, rising costs, and loss of stakeholder trust.
Taking biodiversity into account now goes beyond environmental responsibility: it has become a matter of regulatory compliance, access to financing, and market differentiation. Companies that anticipate these transformations by integrating biodiversity into their sourcing, innovation, and reporting strategies strengthen their resilience and long-term attractiveness.

Biodiversity screening, mapping of your impacts and dependencies within your value chain:

We carry out biodiversity screenings based on reference tools such as ENCORE, the BRF or the first steps of the SBTN framework. This approach makes it possible to identify your priority dependencies and impacts on ecosystems, at the scale of your activities, your sites or your value chains. It is the first brick of a credible and structured biodiversity strategy.

Detailed assessment of the pressures carried by the company:

We conduct in-depth analyses of the pressures of your activities on biodiversity, based on the five main pressures identified by IPBES (land use change, direct exploitation, climate change, pollution, invasive alien species). Our analysis tools integrate IUCN (endangered species) databases and GLOBIO models to quantify potential impacts, depending on locations, products or supply chains.

Action Plan for Nature and its Regeneration:

We support you in defining ambitious biodiversity action plans, aligned with the recommendations of the SBTN or the TNFD. These plans include measures to reduce pressures (avoidance, reduction, restoration), positive contribution (habitat restoration, ecological corridors, agroecology, etc.) and internal governance. The objective is to go beyond the "zero impact" approach to be part of a dynamic of ecosystem regeneration.

Integration of biodiversity criteria in your CSRD reports and transition plans:

We design robust biodiversity monitoring systems, based on indicators compatible with SBTN and TNFD. We help you document your progress, structure your extra-financial reporting (CSRD, CDP, transition plan) and secure your credibility with stakeholders.
