Water

Responsible resource management
Water is both a vital resource and a source of vulnerability for businesses. Its availability and quality are directly affected by climate change, urbanization, and the growing pressure from agricultural and industrial uses. In many regions, competition for access to water is intensifying, exposing organizations to tensions across production sites, supply chains, and even their social license to operate.
Beyond the risk of scarcity, water management has become a matter of governance and reputation: stakeholders expect companies to reduce consumption, optimize processes, and actively contribute to the preservation of local resources. Developing a proactive water strategy is therefore not only an environmental necessity but also a lever for operational security, technological innovation, and long-term value creation.

Calculating the water footprint:

Analysis of water-related risks (quantitative, qualitative, geographical), in relation to hydrological data and the dependencies of your supply chains:

Increasing exposure to water risks requires a detailed understanding of physical, regulatory and reputational vulnerabilities. Using tools such as Aqueduct or Water Risk Filter, we assess your risks at the level of your sites, supply chains or investments. This allows you to anticipate critical areas, prioritize responses and integrate the water factor into your strategic decisions.

The definition of trajectories and action plans to reduce consumption, limit pollution and improve water resilience:

We support our clients in understanding and implementing SBTN steps to define water-related impact reduction trajectories: prioritization of critical basins, pressure assessment and definition of science-based targets. Finally, we help you implement concrete solutions to reduce your water consumption and limit your discharges. This includes the identification of recycling loops, the reduction of direct withdrawals, the optimization of processes and the recovery of effluents. Each action is evaluated in terms of environmental impact and operational performance to ensure a solid return on environmental investment.
